Cèze river  :
The karstic tray of Méjannes the clapperboard is made an incision by a canyon which the river Cèze digs since the beginning of the neogene (approximately 80 million years).
Clear waters of Céze pass by so peacefully between magnificent fair cliffs on which nest any sorts of birds.
The beaches of the Roy, Terris or the Quittard, welcome in summer the swimmers  and can be reached by car within minutes

Cèze is a French river, a tributary of the Rhône in right bank, and which flows into the departments of Lozère and the Gard, in region Languedoc-Roussillon-Midi-Pyrénées.

The gorges of Ardèche are an Ardèche place of interest.

Gorges, which form a real canyon of around thirty kilometers dug in the calcareous tray between Le Pont d’Arc (Vallon-Pont-d’Arc) and Saint-Martin-d’Ardèche, can be followed by car by the north side by a panoramic road through the scrubland. Situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains of the Cévennes, the city is on the very busy axis connecting(binding) the low valley of the Rhône with the plain from the Languedoc.

Populated with 150 564 inhabitants on January 1st, 2013, the city of Nîmes knows in summer a notable influx of tourists come visit its monuments and participate in its ferias and festivals.

The foundation of Nîmes goes back to the Antiquity(Antique). Of Roman period, Nîmes can of monuments such as arenas(bullrings), the Square House or still the tower Hurries at the foot of which one(which) is situated the site of the sanctuary of the Fountain. The pont du Gard is a Roman aqueduct at three levels, situated to Vers-Pont-du-Gard between Uzès and Nîmes, in the department of the Gard (France).

It steps over the Roach, or the Gard. Probably built in the first half of Ier century, he ensured the continuity of the Roman aqueduct which led the water of Uzès in Nîmes. According to the lattest researches, it would have stopped being used at the beginning of the VIth century. Lire la suite
